ACC Asia Cup Background

The Asian Cricket Council Asia Cup is a men’s one-day international and twenty-twenty international cricket tournament. It was established in 1983 when the Asian Cricket Council was established in an effort to promote harmony across Asian countries. Initially, every two years was how often it was supposed to happen. The victorious team becomes the champions of Asia in the sole cricket continental competition, the Asia Cup. Both the ODI and T20I formats are alternated every two years.

Dates for the 15th ASIA Cricket CUP 2022 are 27 August to 11 September 2022. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has finally released the ASIA CUP 2022 cricket schedule after two-year delay. The Asian Cricket Council relocated the ASIA CUP 2022 to the United Arab Emirates due to present circumstances in Sri Lanka, however Sri Lanka still has exclusive hosting rights.

Six Asian teams will compete in the SIA Cup 2022, according to the source materials. The eligible teams are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan. One team each from Kuwait, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong will qualify and join the other competitors.
